Enlarged image of the poem below as Xieyi
Verse 89
▶Original Text
▶Modern Translation
A mellow blossom scents the root-less tree;
Qi sinks to Dantian, nature rests at ease.
Yin and yang answer one another—truth abides there;
Wordless Tai Chi contains profound principle.
▶Interpretation
Sweet bloom—gentle ripeness.
Qi settles low—temperament settles too.
Responsive poles reveal suchness.
Tai Chi mute, yet brim with wisdom.
▶Interpretation related to Tai Chi
• Practise softness that hides depth, not aggression.
• Sink breath; calm arises, motion smooths.
• Feel the dialogue of full/empty in every contact.
• Let movement teach—explanations come second.
